‘Brahma Kumaris are relentlessly working towards peace’ : Gogoi, Former Chief Justice of India and MP Rajya Sabha

‘India the Harbinger of World Peace’ : Four -day Global Summit 2022 was inaugurated By Dadi Ratanmohini, Former CJI And Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister Of State For External Affairs at Shantivan.

Abu Road( Rajasthan): The Brahma Kumaris,  in collaboration with Ministry of Culture,  Government of India,  inaugurated ‘Global Summit,  2022’ at Diamond Hall in Shantivan.  The theme of this Summit is ‘India the Harbinger of World Peace’. It was inaugurated by Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Former Chief Justice of India( CJI ) and MP Rajya Sabha and Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture,  Government of India, as Chief Guests. The function was attended by many prominent personalities and senior members of Brahma Kumaris,  along with thousands of people from India and abroad.

BK Mruthyunjaya,  Executive Secretary of Brahma Kumaris,  gave the welcome speech.

Dadi Ratanmohini,  Chief of Brahma Kumaris, said the whole world is eager to see a glimpse of Golden India today. She said that every country is trying for peace. If we remember that we are all children of the same Supreme Father and hence brothers and sisters,  this will bring peace and brotherhood amongst all.

Chief Guest,  Ranjan Gogoi, Former CJI and MP Rajya Sabha,  said that today’s world resembles the description of Kaliyuga or dark ages given in our religious texts. In view of that, the purpose of this Summit is commendable and the topics of discussion are relevant.  The Brahma Kumaris are working for the purification of the soul through spiritual teaching and meditation.  Everyone today is looking for peace, this is where the Brahma Kumaris are helping mankind, by rejuvenating the soul through good thoughts and deeds. He was very grateful for being invited to inaugurate this great event.  He said that people are being taught values, civilization, culture, yoga, spirituality through Brahma Kumaris from where practical knowledge is being imparted to the society. Yoga will bring change in the world. Peace will come in the world only through yoga and spirituality. From here the message of peace is being given to the world through the knowledge of the soul. He praised the Brahma Kumaris and said that they are relentlessly working towards peace. He wished them success and prosperity.

Chief Guest Meenakshi Lekhi, MoS For External Affairs and Culture,  Government of India,  said that Bharat is a community of people that seek their happiness in the well being of all. Brahma Kumaris Organization is a shining example of feminine power where women are establishing right values in the society through their spiritual prowess. Women have occupied high positions in vedic Bharat. Brahma Kumaris is doing the work of character building of men through Rajyoga and bringing peace to the society.

BK Nirwair,  Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris,  read the message of PM Narendra Modi,  wishing success for this Summit,  to the audience.  He said that every Indian wishes to see Bharat occupy its Golden position once again.  The aim of this Summit is to remind everyone that we must live in a spirit of brotherhood,  for peace to prevail.

Om Prakash Yadav, MOS For Social Justice and Empowerment,  Government of Haryana,  said that there is immense peace in Shantivan.  He has seen many organizations all over the country, but the Brahma Kumaris is ahead of them all. Today, he was fortunate to learn some great spiritual truths after listening to Dadi.

L.P. Pant, National Editor of Dainik Bhaskar from Jaipur,  said that for a journalist,  the most sad news is the most read one. Making governments answerable is what gives peace to a journalist.

Dr. Bandi Parathasarathy Reddy, Chairman of Hetero Group from Hyderabad,  said that he is very fortunate to have been associated with Brahma Kumaris for the last 12 to 15 years.  He could not only improve himself but also inspire about 25 thousand families employed in his group.

Vijay Darda, Chairman,  Lokmat Group,  Mumbai,  said that while we are still talking about 33 percent reservation for women in Indian Parliament,  Brahma Kumaris Organization is hundred percent run by women.  It is a shining example of social empowerment by discipline,  love and commitment of women.

Ravindra Dharia, President of Vanarai People’s Movement for Green India, Pune, was felicitated with ‘Guardians of Humanity’ Award on this occasion.

In the Reception session of the four-day conference, HH Yaduveera Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Maharaja of Mysore said that Brahma Kumaris are doing very commendable work in the interest of the country and society.  From here people are being educated to change the world with positive thinking.  Along with this, a lot of work is also being done for environmental protection and he is very happy to be here.

Manish Bajpai, Consultant Editor of Doordarshan, who came from Delhi, said that the shloka of Devo Shanti testifies that India has been giving peace to the world from the past till today. The Brahma Kumaris are the storehouse of  knowledge.

Brahma Kumaris Multimedia Head BK Karuna said that the spirit of India has been that of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’  God is one.  Shiva, the Supreme Soul, is the Supreme Father of all the souls of the world.  We have given the message of tying the world in unity.

Media giants were rewarded –  Eminent senior journalists and media stalwarts from across the country were honoured with the “Rashtriya Chetna Puraskar” during the conference.

Mayur Dance was presented by Lokmat Group from Nepal and a beautiful performance by Shakti Niketan Indore Hostel girls.

More than 5,000 academicians, politicians, social workers, media persons, Vice Chancellors of various universities are participating in the global summit.
