Brahma Kumaris Parvathipuram Urge Farmers to Adopt Sustainable Yogic Farming Techniques

Parvathipuram ( Andhra Pradesh ): On National Farmers Day, Brahma Kumaris, Parvathipuram, conducted a program on “Agriculture and Rural development – Swatchaata – Sahayogam – Samruddhi” (Cleanliness, Co-operation, Prosperity) at Shiv Shaktibhavan.

In this context, an awareness campaign has been created for all the participant farmers about the need to utilize the power of Rajyoga meditation along with natural farming techniques for getting better yield and health.

The chief guests to this program were Y. Vijay Kumar (Asst. Director of Agriculture), Rekha (Mandal Agriculture officer).   BK Vedi from Bangalore, BK Sasikala from Brahma Kumaris Railway New Colony, Visakhapatnam and BK Gnanarathnam, Brahma Kumaris Parvathipuram, were present in the program.

Y Vijay Kumar suggested the farmers to go with natural farming techniques with which we can get better yield.  He also suggested to do farming with “Jeevaamrutham”, as pesticides can cause harm to nature and us too.

Mandal Agriculture officer, Rekha revealed that farmers are able to get better yield by using pesticides.  But after some days the yield is getting spoiled. It is also showing chronic harmful effects and diseases in our bodies too. So she suggested the farmers go with organic farming or natural farming techniques along with sustainable yogic agriculture procedures, for low cost, better yield and good health to the society.  If Rajayoga meditation is practiced by the farmers in their farms, their mission becomes accomplished very easily.

BK GnanaRatnam expressed her views that farmers are yielding more vegetables with harmful pesticides which causes ill health to us. They should adopt organic farming techniques for society health. She gave a call to everyone to have better health, one should start their own farming at homes, over rooftops or in gardens, which is chemical free and pesticides free, that could give good health to all.

BK Sasikala has encouraged farmers to go with sustainable yogic farmi ng techniques where the farmers give good and positive vibrations for some time in a day in the farm apart from following organic farming techniques. With the power of yog, there forms an invisible cloud of positive vibrations which can protect the farm from pests.  She gave a call to all the farmers to learn Rajyoga meditation at our centers, and start experimenting to do natural farming which is low cost and better and healthy yielding too.

About 50 farmers were felicitated and gifted with Godly gifts, and 50 BKs also took their inspirations at the premises. The farmers too expressed their gratitude towards Brahma Kumaris and few pledged to do sustainable yogic farming techniques.
