Brahma Kumaris Celebrate Road Safety Week

Two Wheeler Rally and Road Safety Awareness Programme

Malad (Maharashtra): Brahma Kumaris, Malad organized a Road Safety Awareness programme in Malad along with Traffic Police and  Dalmia college.

As a part of this awareness programme, there was a two wheeler rally which was flagged off by BK Kunti. All the bikers carried slogans of Road safety giving message in entire Malad.

The rally started from Traffic Police office in Malad West and finished at Dalmia college.

After the rally, was at programme at Dalmia college where the volunteers from the college, RTO police staff and other general public participated.

All the guests including TV and Film Actor Hrishikesh Pandey (CID fame),  Dalmia College Vice Principal Madhavi, RTO Police inspector Hitendra Bhavsar were welcomed by flower bouquets.

For inaguration of programme, candle lighting was done by all the guests.

RTO police inspector Hitendra Bhavsar explained the importance of following traffic rules in day to day life. He highlighted small things like avoiding talking on phone while walking on road.

BK Kunti explained the importance of spirituality for Road safety. She told that in BK Transport logo,  it is mentioned – Speed, Safety and Spirituality. So spirituality plays an important role in Road safety. Person who is spiritual, will drive peacefully and not in haste.

Chief guest Hrishikesh Pandey gave practical example as how a biker came under a bus because of rash driving, but his life got saved because of wearing helmet. He urged the audience that everyone should follow the traffic rules and not take things for granted. Each one should value their life, as it does not harm just the self,  but their entire family has to suffer.

Dalmia College Vice Principal Madhavi appreciated the work done by the Brahma Kumaris and asked all to follow the traffic rules for road safety.

At the end of the program, a certificate of participation was given to all those in the two-wheeler rally and a Godly gift was given to all the guests.
