Asia Pacific Regional BK Brothers Retreat 2021

Malaysia: The Asia Pacific Regional Brothers’ Retreat 2021 with the theme of “Fulfilling God’s Vision – Becoming Extraordinary” was held for three days. This online program was organized with the intention to reach out to the BK brothers in the Asia Pacific region with the pure intention of helping them with the spiritual sustenance collectively during this pandemic time.

The objective of the program was  i) Understanding God’s vision and fulfilling His expectation,  ii) The Pandavas’ (BK brothers’) role as trail-blazers and charting new frontiers for a better future,  iii) Empowering the Self to face challenges and crossing the threshold to the point of no return, and  iv) The Pandavas’ best practices and extraordinary achievements as the protectors of the Yagya.

There were more than 220 participants registered for the retreat from various countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Online translation was provided in six languages.

Senior speakers across the globe were invited for the retreat including BK Charlie Hogg (Australia), BK Ken O’Donnell (Brazil), BK Marcelo (Columbia) and BK Usha (Madhuban) who spoke on various topics relevant for the brothers’ spiritual developments.

BK Charlie Hogg (Australia) reiterated that one has to really work on the self to overcome the various barriers in living up to Baba’s expectation.

BK Ken O’Donnell (Brazil) shared the situation of the world during the current pandemic and that we should work on yoga power to face the various challenges.

BK Usha (Madhuban) explained explicitly the myths, characteristics and the charisma of the five pandavas and how it’s still relevant to the current situation.

BK Marcelo (Columbia) emphasized the role of pandavas and highlighted Brahma Baba and senior brothers as typical examples.

BK (Dr.) Nirmala shared the specialities of the pandavas in the history of the yagya. An array of senior teachers was also included in panel, interview, dialogue and spiritual chit-chat under various interesting topics. In an effort to engage all the participants, an online workshop and creative activity was organised and was very well received.

The general trend of all the speakers is the importance of paying attention to developing spiritual resilience and sustaining individually and collectively in facing the future challenges and fulfilling God’s hopes. The retreat ended with a high spirit with sharing of experiences, sharing of virtual blessings and with the feeling that such programs should be organized more often in the future.
