“International Day of the Girl Child” Event by Brahma Kumaris, Rajgarh

Saredi ( Madhya Pradesh ): The Brahma Kumaris of Rajgarh Centre celebrated, “International Day of Girl Child” at village Saredi. The theme was “Beti Bachao, Sashakta Banao”, means “Save Daughter, Empower Her”.

The program was commenced by the candle lighting and prayer of Mother Goddess Saraswati was done by Mr. Aashish Nandan, District Treasury Officer; Mr. Shyam Babu Share, The District Women Empowerment Officer; Mrs. Mona Sustani, President of National Dhakad Society and BK Madhu Centre in Charge of Rajgarh District.
BK Madhu addressing the issues said that, Girls are required to be bold Mentally along with being Physically healthy and strong. She said that awakening their inner Powers and Qualities in itself is their Empowerment in true sense. She further said that along with tolerance and forbearance, we must raise our voices against the injustice to Girls in society.
Mr. Shyam Babu Khare said that the Girls must come forward for their Rights and oppose Social ill practices like Child Marriages, Indiscriminate Marriages, Abuse of Relationships, Family Fighting and Tortures etc.
Mrs. Mona Sustani stated, “Until and unless Girls are educated, the Society will keep on neglecting and looking down at them. For that they must continue higher studies and encourage other Girls around also to study well. She said, “We must fight together to put an end to social ill cultures towards Girl Child”.
Mr. Aashish Nandan said that the empowerment is possible only with awakening of Inner (Soul) Consciousness. He adopted an under nourished child Pooja and provided everything needed to her under the National Campaign of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) Free Project.
On this occasion a Rally was taken out from High School to Middle School in Saredi village for public awareness of the Project, “Save Daughter, Educate Daughter”. Men and women of the village, all the school Children, school Staff, the Supervisors, Workers and Helpers of both the Anganwadis were present and took part in the Rally and made the Celebration a grand success.
Lastly Mr. Shyam Babu Khare encouraged the public to take a pledge that they will educate their Daughters, give them their equal Rights and will let them also to Progress in life.
